DRAWING, POTTERY, & PAINTING
The Themes of Spring!
Ages 6-11; 12-17
Using themes associated with spring (bunnies, birds, and budding flowers to name a few!) students will become familiar with the fundamentals of drawing and painting. They will learn how to use geometric shapes to construct images, experiment with mixing paint and more. Projects may include still life, landscape, or portraiture. A supply list of approximately $30 will print at the time of registration. There is a $25 non-refundable fee for this program.

Drawing Fundamentals
Ages 18+ | Level: Beginner/Intermediate
This drawing workshop is especially intended for artists who have some experience with art, but are not completely confident about their drawing skills. Topics covered will include ellipses, drawing in one and two point perspective, and lighting and shading. Students will gain a better understanding of these principles as they construct studies from still life.

Variety Pack of Painting Genres
Ages 18+ | Level: Beginner/Intermediate
In this six-week course, students will have the opportunity to sample the classic mix of painting genres: Portrait, Landscape, and Still Life. Two weeks will be spent on each genre and Paula McCarty, MFA will guide students as they create small paintings. The basics of color mixing, paint handling, and composition will be addressed. A supply list of approximately $100 will print at the time of registration. There is a $35 non-refundable fee for this program.

Pottery Intensives

These classes are for those who want to submerge themselves for a shorter period into a pottery class. Emphasis will be on refinement (altering) of projects through additions or combinations of parts, or various trimming techniques.

Kids On The Move
Ages 5-7
Fitness is fun! In this 45 minute class, kids move, play, jump, dance, stretch, and then relax. Playful movement, games, and age appropriate music come together to create an exciting class. We combine various movement styles to improve balance, coordination, control, and body awareness. This class aims to teach children the value of a balanced and healthy lifestyle at an early age. By focusing on fun rather than formal exercise routines, participants can start to develop lifelong habits and positive attitudes surrounding physical activity.
