The playground redesign at Wesley Park will align with future improvements to the Martin Luther King Trail, a project led by the City of Champaign. The new playground will be relocated to a more central location within the park’s green space. The redesign will also prioritize modern equipment for children ages 2-12 and feature fixtures different from those in nearby parks. The project is projected to be completed in October 2026.
