Tip #1: Explore New Activity Categories
We have recently revamped our activity organization in SmartRec to improve the user experience. For winter 2026 activities, you will find the following activity buckets to explore:

This new organizational style will give you more opportunities to quickly and easily find activities you’re truly interested in.
Tip #2: Utilize Filters
SmartRec allows users to filter by age, day, location, program and category, and other criteria. Filters empower you to find activities that will fit your schedule. Filters also make it easier to find activities for specific age ranges, which is especially helpful for parents.
To use filters, first navigate to https://app.amilia.com/store/en/champaignparks/shop/programs
Next, if you’re on a desktop, find the “Filters” section on the left side of your screen.
If you’re on mobile, click “Filters” under the search bar.
Finally, select the criteria you want to filter to see all activities that fit into those categories. From here, you can discover a wealth of activities to enjoy!
Tip #3: Add Activities to Your Wish List
While previewing activities, you may want to save certain activities to come back to later. Luckily, SmartRec’s wish list feature is an easy way to do exactly that.
To add an activity to your wish list, click on the heart icon above the “Register” button.
To find your wish list later, visit https://app.amilia.com/store/en/champaignparks/shop/programs. On desktop, locate the heart icon in the top menu.
On mobile, you can click the dropdown menu labeled “More” next to “Activities” to find the wish list.
Tip #4: Check Out Our Scholarship Program
The scholarship program is designed to provide families of the Champaign Park District with the opportunity to participate in fun, safe, high-quality programs they may not be able to afford without assistance. Both youth and adults can utilize scholarships.
Tip #5: Get In-Person or Phone-Call Registration Assistance
If you need extra help registering for activities, you can visit Leonhard Recreation Center, Martens Center, or Springer Cultural Center for in-person assistance. You can also call us at 217-398-2550 for help with registration.
