Champaign Park District Announces Updates to Kaufman Lake Park

Champaign Park District has announced updates coming soon to the Kaufman Lake Park. The changes will include removing the boathouse and replacing it with green space and picnic tables. The fishing pier will be unaffected.

Work on the park will begin on Tuesday, May 26. Work is expected to be completed by Friday, May 29. During this time, the areas of the park surrounding the boathouse, including the fishing pier, will be closed. Patrons are welcome to use the remaining parts of the park. Fishing on other parts of the lake will still be permitted.
