Champaign Park District is pleased to announce that Kathryn Glynn has been named the new Director of Human Resources of the District.
Glynn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Illinois at Chicago and has served in several HR roles, most recently as the HR Manager at Champaign County Forest Preserve District. She is also a Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional.
“Kathryn Glynn brings a mix of proven results in human resources as well as core competencies in parks and recreation,” said Sarah Sandquist, Executive Director of Champaign Park District. “We are excited to bring her on board and look forward to her leadership on key human resources initiatives.”
The Champaign Park District Director of Human Resources oversees a department of four full-time and part-time staff members and collaborates with the entire organization through strategic staff initiatives, including policy development, legal compliance, employee recruitment and relations, staff training, and HRIS administration.
“As a forward-thinking HR professional, I prioritize empowering policies and inclusive employment experiences that truly support staff,” said Glynn. “I am thrilled to bring these skills to my new role.”
