Champaign Park District is inviting members of the community to attend two public meetings to assist with the development of a master plan for Turnberry Ridge Park (910 Cobblefield Rd). The first meeting is on Tuesday, October 6, from 5:30-6:30pm. The second meeting is on Thursday, October 29, from 5-6pm. Both meetings will take place at Turnberry Ridge Park. In the event of rain, the October 6 meeting will move to Leonhard Recreation Center (2307 Sangamon Dr), and the October 29 meeting will move to Bresnan Meeting Center (706 Kenwood Rd).
The purpose of the October 6 meeting is to receive public input on ideas and priorities for a park redesign. The October 29 meeting will review park design concept options and proposed amenities. Children and adults alike are encouraged to attend both meetings to offer feedback.
The feedback gathered from the public during these meetings will be incorporated into the final design master plan.
The Turnberry Ridge Park redesign is a Champaign Park District Capital Improvement Project that will be fully funded by a grant awarded by the Champaign County Housing Authority’s Moving to Work Plan.
