Champaign Park District’s beloved fall activities are fast approaching, and the District is excited to invite the public to get involved in a meaningful way through volunteering. Volunteers have a unique opportunity to see the behind-the-scenes of community events while also making a significant impact on patron experiences.
Champaign Park District volunteers also receive exclusive perks, such as free popcorn at the Virginia Theatre, apparel, and swag.
“Volunteers are the heart of Champaign Park District activities,” said Zachary Longden, Champaign Park District HR Talent & Engagement Specialist. “Their impact is invaluable, and we take special care in making their experience fun and rewarding.”
Event volunteer opportunities include Wicked and The Wiz on October 11, Halloween FunFest on October 15, Fright Fest on October 18, and Flannel Fest on October 25. Virginia Theatre volunteer opportunities include Observer (film screening) on October 4, MasterChef All-Stars Live! on October 12, Elvis Costello & The Imposters on October 14, and several other exciting shows and film screenings. Volunteers are also needed to help with CU Special Recreation’s fall theatre production.
