Champaign Park District has announced the opening of a new amenity: an outdoor archery range in Dodds Park (1501 N Mattis Ave). The range features a turf shooting line and four targets at 10, 20, 30, and 40 yards. Patrons are welcome to use the amenity daily from dawn to dusk without a reservation.
The range was created to meet the need for increased archery range space in the Champaign-Urbana area. This is the first range the District has managed.
The District is also collecting feedback on the archery range to help inform future enhancements. Range users can take a brief survey at: https://bit.ly/4BxpfQo
All users must adhere to the range rules and regulations to promote a safe shooting experience. These rules can be found at: https://champaignparks.org/archery-range/
