Effective May 1, Champaign Park District will offer four staffed registration facilities throughout the District. Leonhard Recreation Center, Martens Center, and Springer Cultural Center will be staffed during business hours to assist residents in registering for Park District activities. Champaign-Urbana Special Recreation Center (CUSR) will also be a staffed registration site for CUSR participants.
Hays Recreation Center and Douglass Annex will have new self-service kiosks available for residents to register for activities during facility program hours. Douglass Community Center will be open during its schedule of programs and special events, like the daily Afterschool Program and Adventure Explorers summer camp, as well as a new free spring event on April 17.
Dodds Tennis Center and Sholem Aquatic Center will continue to operate seasonally. Staff will assist residents with registration inquiries during open hours.
“In 2023, 60 percent of Champaign Park District registrations were done online. In the past year, that number has grown substantially to 90 percent due to newly implemented software that simplified the registration process,” said Sarah Sandquist, Champaign Park District Executive Director. “Dedicated registration facilities and self-service kiosks will provide residents the ability to register at various locations, while still empowering the majority of residents to continue registering online.”
