Clark Park is officially open! The new playground and updated sandpit were reopened at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, November 8, 2025. The sandpit was dedicated in honor of Katie Parkhill and is now called Katie’s Play Place.
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback throughout this process. We are excited that you and your family can now enjoy the new playground and other amenities!
Sharing more of the playground renderings below. We have a couple of pieces for the very young and a roller slide that will be integrated into a small hill, along with what may be the largest single set of swings in any of our parks.
July 22, 2025 Update:
You may have noticed that a lot of the underground utility and drainage work, as well as the excavation, has been underway for a few weeks now. From outside of the construction fencing, you can start to see the layout of sidewalks and the basketball court.
A significant amount of the playground equipment has also been delivered.
The rendering below is of the largest piece going into the playground. This provides play areas for toddlers to 12-year-olds. A design component that playground companies are starting to integrate into their designs is having a single play component for a wider age group, instead of having separate areas for 3-5 year olds and 5-12 year olds. This design encourages playground socialization and physical development.
