Champaign STAR Awards

The Champaign STAR Awards is an exciting new merger of the City of Champaign’s STAR Awards and the Park District’s Champaign Park Honors programs. STAR stands for “Service Together Achieves Results,” and is also representative of the strong and longstanding collaboration between both agencies. The Champaign STAR Awards will merge these two popular community awards ceremonies, into one exciting new celebration.

A reception will be held to honor the award recipients following the ceremony. This celebratory event is free and open to the public.

The Champaign STAR Awards will honor those who have gone above and beyond in service to our community, including:

• Exceptional individuals and groups that are dedicated to improving lives across the City’s diverse neighborhoods and community.
• Exemplary community members and volunteers who promote excellence in our parks, recreation, and cultural arts.
• Outstanding City and Park District employees who have been recognized for excellence by their peers.
