The Day of the Dead (el Dรญa de los Muertos), is a Mexican holiday where families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives for a brief reunion that includes food, drink and celebration.
Do you have loved ones you would like to honor? Bring their photos, favorite candies, and other items to the altar at Martens Center! The altar is open to the public from October 17 to November 2 during Martens Center’s open hours.
Join us for a fun and rewarding volunteer experience at Dรญa de los Muertos! Volunteers are essential to making this event a success. Whether youโre helping with activities, or event set up and tear down, your support ensures that everyone has a great time. Plus, volunteering is a great way to meet new people and be part of the Champaign Park District family!
