All Ages

Join us at Douglass Park for a vibrant celebration of freedom, culture, and community! Juneteenth is a historic celebration marking the end of slavery in the United States, which honors African American resilience, culture, and progress. To mark the celebration, Champaign Public Library and Champaign Park District are joining forces to bring family-friendly activities to the community. Visit with vendors or enjoy activities such as games, crafts, and more, all while learning about the holiday.

Whether you’re attending to learn, honor the past, or just enjoy the festivities, this Juneteenth celebration promises a day full of joy and unity.

We will be running a shuttle from Marten’s Center to Douglass Park for the Juneteenth Celebration. The shuttle will start at 11am and will run every 30 minutes for the duration of the event.
