March 25, 2026 Update:
The public voted for the playground to use color palatte CA, shown in the rendering below.
March 9, 2026 Update:
Champaign Park District hosted a public meeting on Thursday, March 5, at the Garden Hills Academy gymnasium. Members of the public got the chance to look at playground color options and offer feedback.
In addition to the public meeting, the Park District is polling the community on Facebook to gather additional feedback on color options. Community members can find the poll by visiting https://www.facebook.com/ChampaignParkDist.

February 17, 2026 Update:
Champaign Park District invites community members to attend a public meeting to discuss the replacement of the Garden Hills Park playground.
This meeting is to take place on Thursday, March 5, at 6pm, in the Garden Hills Academy (2001 Garden Hills Dr) gymnasium.
Community members will have the opportunity to offer feedback on proposed playground equipment presented by Nutoys Leisure Products. Children are encouraged to attend.
