When kids play, they feel connected. When they feel connected, they engage positively with their community, and everyone benefits! Champaign Park District plays a vital role in creating these connections by offering impactful and affordable programming. However, for some families, even low registration fees for programs are too much of a hardship. That’s where the Youth Scholarship Fund comes in.
Every year, the Champaign Park District provides scholarships that help over 400 families in need. These scholarships help create connections by providing opportunities for children to explore during day camps, participate in sports, learn to swim, or become stars of the stage in dance or theatre programs.
Participation in park district programs helps children develop their minds and bodies, and offers chances to form positive friendships and skills that can last a lifetime.
