Less than bewitched by last year’s Halloween outfits? Creating closet room for a new costume? The Halloween Costume Drive and Giveaway is just the thing for you! Donate your old threads and give kids a night of happy haunting! Donation of items not required to pick up a new costume.

Now in its 34th year, Champaign and Urbana Park Districts, along with Market Place Mall, invite you and your family to join us for the FREE family event – Halloween Funfest! Dress up in your favorite costume and join us for trick-or-treating, games, and a costume contest. Take a walk through our spook-tacularly (family-friendly) Haunted House, and don’t forget to bring a bag to collect all your goodies!

From Broadway to Virginia Theatre – now you’re invited to share an evening learning about the life and influences of Janis Joplin in the hit musical, A Night with Janis Joplin, starring Mary Bridget Davies.

Get your flannel ready and join us for an evening of fun fall festivities at Flannel Fest presented by Ameren Illinois! Watch the Timberwork’s Lumberjack Show perform demonstrations throughout the evening including log rolling, axe throwing, and speed carving. Enjoy music, art, craft beer flights, games, crafts, food trucks, Lumberjack Dash, and much more at this fall event!

What’s better than a cupcake with friends? Or a fundraiser that supports kids and adults with disabilities who just want to have fun? Why not have both! The Champaign-Urbana Special Recreation Cupcake 5K is going to be one sweet time! This is a timed, accessible race ending with a delicious cupcake. Register by Friday, October 18 to secure your event t-shirt!

Refresh yourself on driving safety at the Rules of the Road free class at Hays Recreation Center. There is NO driving test given at this class and it will not affect your insurance rate.
