Winter/Spring registration for residents of Champaign-Urbana opens on November 18th. Non-residents of Champaign-Urbana can begin registering on November 28th.

All information is available on our website and in SmartRec, and front desk staff at any facility are prepared to assist with questions and registration (with exception to Bresnan Meeting Center).

Resident/Non-Resident of Champaign-Urbana
Fees listed within the program information are for Champaign and Urbana Park Districts residents. Persons residing outside these districts will pay 50% more than the resident rates. Fees charged for programs are used to offset part of the costs for special instructors, facility costs, and program supplies.
What qualifies you to be a Resident of Champaign-Urbana? For the Champaign Park District, that means the taxes associated with your home contributes to the Champaign or Urbana Park District.

Options For Non-Residents of Champaign-Urbana
Program participants living outside the boundaries of the Champaign and Urbana Park Districts have an option of paying 50% more than the resident fee for each program or paying a yearly fee and the resident fee for each program.
The yearly fee is based on the assessed valuation of the non-resident’s home and is calculated by multiplying this valuation by the current tax rate of the Champaign Park District. The term of the payment coverage is from May 1 to April 30 of the following year. A person wishing to pay the yearly fee should email a copy of the most recent tax bill for computation of the fee. If you are a renter, email your lease agreement to qualify for a flat fee of $50. Send your documents to Misty Stocking at misty.stocking@champaigparks.org.
Please Note: The non-resident annual fee option is not available to persons residing adjacent to the Park District boundaries. They, however, have the option of annexing their property to the Champaign Park District. If you have any questions, please contact us at 217-819-3885.
