Let us share in your special day! West Side Park, Centennial Park, Porter Park, and Douglass Park are all available for wedding rentals.
Any event or wedding for over 250 persons will require a written proposal from the renter detailing the proposed event. Additional fees may be required for large events to provide for additional Park District logistical and operational expenses. The only parks permitted for weddings or large outdoor events are West Side Park, Park, Centennial Park, Porter Park, and Douglass Park as many of the other parks do not have the amenities, services, or space to host a wedding or large event.

Plan your big day at the historic Virginia Theatre! The Virginia is an opulent, unique venue for weddings and makes the perfect backdrop for rehearsals and receptions, too!
Built in 1921 in the tradition of the gilded movie palaces and opera houses of the 20s, the Virginia Theatre is a space rich in history. Ideally situated in downtown Champaign, the Virginia will make your special celebration something to remember.

Park Permits
Park Use Permits
Groups of 25 or more wishing to utilize a park should complete an application for a park use permit. Park use permits require additional fees and insurance coverage may be required for any type of use.
Hosting, and/or inviting other to participate in food giveaway(s) and other items constitutes a Park Permit requiring a Health Permit, additional fees, and insurance to the district.
NOTE: Applications must be submitted at least 3 WEEKS PRIOR to the event.
