Spring Break Camp

Wondering what to do with your kids while they’re out of school? Register for Douglass’s Spring
Break Camp! We’ll take them on a trip, play fun games, enjoy organized group sports, and make
fun crafts. Admission for field trips is included in the registration. Parents: Due to the scheduling
of various field trips, please do not drop off later than 8:30a or pick up earlier than 5p. Please
pack your child a sack lunch. Children 8 years old and under will need to bring their booster seat.
Japan House

With the busy culture we live in today, we yearn for moments of quietude. Join us on a unique cultural experience of harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility at the Japan House in Urbana. Your child will explore the symmetrical patterns of the Japanese gardens with three main elements of vegetation, stone, and water. Enjoy a unique cultural event, as we sit down for a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Participants must wear pants and bring (or wear) white socks. Parents: due to the field trip, please do not plan to drop off later than 8:30a and pick up earlier than 4:30p.

With spring just around the corner, your children will enjoy getting dirty as they explore the world of gardening. We will learn about plants and care, plant seedlings to start indoors, and enjoy some spring crafts to take home.

Throughout the week, we will be going on field trips that will delight campers, fuel their curiosity, and put a little spring in their step! Parents: due to the field trip, please do not plan to drop off later than 8:30a and pick up earlier than 4:30p.

CUSR Spring Break Camp

CUSR’s mission is to provide quality recreation programs and services for Champaign-Urbana residents with disabilities.
Are you looking for something fun and exciting to do over Spring Break? If so, the CUSR Spring Break Camp is the perfect program for you! We will be filling our days with crafts, cooking, field trips, group games, and so much more! Please bring a sack lunch each day. Please note, CUSR is a nut free camp.
GOALS: Improve verbal and social skills, build new friendships, gain self-confidence and independence, and expand knowledge of leisure activities
