The Stephens Family YMCA and Champaign Park District have opened registration for the 2026 C-U Triathlon, a community fitness event designed to bring athletes of all experience levels together for a morning of activity, challenge, and community spirit.
The race will take place on Sunday, July 19, at 8 a.m., beginning at the Stephens Family YMCA, 2501 Fields South Drive in Champaign. Participants will complete a 400-yard swim, a 10-mile bike ride, and a 5K run through the Champaign-Urbana community.
“We are thrilled to provide a summertime fitness event that combines competition and fun,” said Morgan Pittman, Events and Community Engagement Coordinator for the Champaign Park District. “Partnering with the Stephens Family YMCA on the C-U Triathlon is an exciting opportunity to bring our recreation visions together and create something special for the community.”
The event reflects a shared commitment between the Champaign Park District and the YMCA to promote healthy living and create meaningful opportunities for the community to stay active together.

Registration is open now, with a final registration deadline of 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 18. The registration fee is $60 for Champaign-Urbana residents and $90 for non-residents. Participants must be 16 years of age or older.
