Stephens Family YMCA and Champaign Park District Team Up for All-New Triathlon
Champaign Park District and Stephens Family YMCA have announced their partnership on an exciting new summer event called C-U Triathlon.
C-U Triathlon will take place on Sunday, July 20, at 8am and will begin at the Stephens Family YMCA, 2501 Fields S Dr. The race will include a 400-yard swim, 10-mile bike ride, and 5K run.
During the race, family members, friends, and children of racers can enjoy a variety of fun activities at the YMCA pavilion, including inflatables, music, food, and games. Spectators are also encouraged to bring signs to cheer on their racers.

“We’ve explored the possibility of offering a triathlon to the community for years and the opportunity to partner with the Champaign Park District made perfect sense,” said Jeff Dobrik, COO of Stephens Family YMCA. “This race will not only bring triathletes together to compete, but serves as an opportunity to bring families together with some of the activities we have planned.”
Registration for C-U Triathlon is open now. The t-shirt deadline is Friday, June 20. The final registration deadline is 5pm on Saturday, July 19. Champaign-Urbana residents can register for $60, and non-residents can register for $90. Participants must be 16 or older.
