Heartsaver First Aid, CPR/AED Classes by Vital Education & Supply
Ages 9+
This course covers topics ranging from heart attacks and strokes to animal bites and allergic reactions. Also covered is CPR for the adult, child and infant victim, and AED use. A CPR certification card will be given after successful completion of class. In order to receive a refund, cancellation requests must be submitted at least two days prior to the class date.

Zoom Spanish Classes for High School Students
9th – 12th graders
This class is a great supplement to high school Spanish classes or may also be taken by students not enrolled in a high school Spanish class. High school students will cover basic grammar points and vocabulary and practice conversational skills. Classes taught live by a Language in Action, Inc. instructor. Zoom login information will be emailed to participants before the first class.

“COOL”INARY CLASS FOR TEENS
Ages 13-18
Join the University of Illinois Extension Staff for a series of seven classes on a variety of Food and Nutrition topics. This is a fun after-school cooking class where teens learn essential cooking techniques and healthy eating habits. All participants will be entered into a raffle for a prize of two Sholem Aquatic Center day passes. The instructor for this class speaks both English and Spanish.

THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF BABYSITTING
Ages 11-15
Become the babysitter that kids will beg their parents to have! This class will teach you the basics and give you the confidence to successfully take on any babysitting job. You will be trained by certified staff on skills to become a safe, fun, and nurturing sitter. Our program features basic first aid, safety, age-appropriate games, and discipline techniques.
The Champaign Park District is an accredited program site through Safe Sitter®, the only national, nonprofit organization exclusively devoted to baby-sitting. You must attend all sessions in order to complete the course and to be certified by Safe Sitter®.

Scene Study Acting Class
6th-12th Graders
This acting class will be a deep dive into scene work with partners and small groups. We will be learning acting techniques, script analysis, and getting up on our feet every day to work on multiple scenes with classmates. This is a great active class for anyone wanting to try a variety of acting work, and accessible for anyone who is new or experienced.
There is a $35 non-refundable fee for this program.

Guitar/Bass/Drum Lessons

These one-on-one guitar or bass lessons will provide instruction on theory, chord structure, melody, and popular song structure. This course is great for those who are just beginning to those just wanting to jam. They are individualized to fit your particular goals. Lessons are 30 minutes in length and meet once per week. Please bring your guitar or bass to class. Students who wish to have a longer private lesson may register for more than one time slot.

Drum Lessons
Ages 8+
These one-on-one drum lessons are designed for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. All styles including rock, jazz, funk, Latin, and blues are taught. Lessons are 30 minutes in length and meet once per week. A drum set is available for the lessons, but a drum pad and sticks are recommended for students to purchase for practice. Students who wish to have a longer private lesson may register for more than one time slot.
