Flannel Fest

Flannel Fest transforms West Side Park into a community hub of fall festivities. Prepare for the excitement of mustache contests, daring hot pepper eating challenges, and so much more! It’s a day filled with live lumberjack shows, local music, free games, hayrack rides, inflatables, and ice-cold beer to quench your thirst! 

Test your lumberjack brawn with this one-mile fun run held during Flannel Fest featuring lumberjack challenges like log flips, crawls, and more! 

Don’t forget to register for the Lumberjack Dash: October 12th, West Side Park 10am. Click below to pre-register or register on-site at 8:30am.

Volunteer at Flannel Fest!

Join us for a day of fall fun at Flannel Fest and make a difference in your community by volunteering! Volunteers are essential to making this event a success. Whether you’re helping with activities, or event set up and tear down, your support ensures that everyone has a great time. Plus, volunteering is a great way to meet new people and be part of the Champaign Park District family!

Hot Pepper Eating Contest

Can you beat the heat? Test out your spice tolerance at our Hot Pepper Eating Contest! Each round the peppers will get hotter & hotter, and to win, you must be the last one standing.

Date/Time: Saturday, October 12, 1pm on the Main Stage!
Fee: $10

Mustache/Beard Contest

Get your mustaches and beards ready for the Flannel Fest Mustache Contest! Whether home grown or crafted, show off your facial hair in this fun competition. People of all ages are encouraged to enter!

Fee: FREE, but registration required.
